Not changing circumstances
My favorite metaphor for God is the He's in a balloon looking down on a parade. As the parade marches by we see it in time and only one float or band at a time. Looking ahead on the route God can alter the landscape for groups to yet pass by. The real difficulty for most Christians is that they only pray for circumstances. But follow the lives of people who've figuratively been given a lemon and they made lemonade. Sometimes God needs people to go where no one else will go. So He allows for some tragedy for a strong Christian to step into that situation and conduct a ministry that brings the person greater joy than they had before.
