Not changing circumstances

My favorite metaphor for God is the He's in a balloon looking down on a parade.  As the parade marches by we see it in time and only one float or band at a time.  Looking ahead on the route God can alter the landscape for groups to yet pass by.

The real difficulty for most Christians is that they only pray for circumstances.    But follow the lives of people who've figuratively been given a lemon and they made lemonade. Sometimes God needs people to go where no one else will go.  So He allows for some tragedy for a strong Christian to step into that situation and conduct a ministry that brings the person greater joy than they had before.

The wife of Albert Pujols used to see every game he played.  She herself had been sexually assaulted as a child.  She discovered  that she could spot every  woman who had the same tragedy in their lives.  She then had a ministry to these women at every game she attended,

Now she could have walked away from that opportunity.  She could have been very angry to the point of causing a divorce.  She could have had someone who would befriend her.  She could walk away from that friendship.  At every point God would offer her a way back to Himself and the life she had.

We make our own choices.  So does God.   He chooses the points of intersection.  And this is going on with each person on the planet.  God is infinite.  And the three-dimensional paradigm we live with is His Creation.  He is not bound by dimensions.
