My favorite metaphor for God is the He's in a balloon looking down on a parade. As the parade marches by we see it in time and only one float or band at a time. Looking ahead on the route God can alter the landscape for groups to yet pass by. The real difficulty for most Christians is that they only pray for circumstances. But follow the lives of people who've figuratively been given a lemon and they made lemonade. Sometimes God needs people to go where no one else will go. So He allows for some tragedy for a strong Christian to step into that situation and conduct a ministry that brings the person greater joy than they had before. The wife of Albert Pujols used to see every game he played. She herself had been sexually assaulted as a child. She discovered that she could spot every woman who had the same tragedy in their lives. She then had a ministry to these women at every game she attended, Now she could have walked away from that opportunity. She could have bee

But it turns out falsely so. Apparently, he never uttered these words . At best, the essence of the quote can be traced back to the utilitarian philosopher John Stuart Mill , who delivered an 1867 inaugural address at the University of St. Andrews and stated: “ Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion . Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who , without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.” Jef 4 Revival This post is NOT my creation. In the scripture below Jesus uses the metaphor of darkness as the sign of enlightenment. This song is used to show that although we see, we have lights, we have internet, we have highways, we have freedom, and we have many resources; we really have nothing that brings us to
